Career Goals

A career as Health Educator is important to me because in order to maintain a healthy community, all individuals should receive the equal opportunity to receive health education and care. I believe that health education is necessary to increase awareness of healthy behaviors the community can have to obtain a better quality of life.

Goals & Objectives

I have completed my BS in Community Health Education at California State University, Long Beach. I am looking forward to working with my goal target population which is children struggling with ATOD and mental health.

Experience & Preparation

With my academic experience, I have expanded my knowledge of program planning, implementing and evaluation. My previous internship at SHS has given me the opportunity to work with my schools community by promoting education on social media, through in person workshops and virtually. I have shared, researched and updated information for presentations, as well as created programs for in person tabling and demonstrations.

Collaborated in an outreach event with other organizations on campus to bring sustainable products and ideas regarding self care to students before finals week. Ideas brought to the event were making your own tea bags, face scrubs and mediation methods.

SHS - Projects

One of four social media contents regarding foods that are in season during winter, spring, summer and fall. These posts also contain how they can be put together as a meal and the resources of peer nutrition counseling and workshops available to students.

A Cannabis bulletin board being posted on campus for students to review. The board will provide information on different strains, the difference between CBD and THC, and the resources provided on campus that is available to students.
